Iceland, Ireland, Spain Among the Strongest Stock Markets in Europe

 

Wait, what now? Spain and Ireland? Iceland? How’d those sneak in there? Not sure, but the best-performing developed-Europe markets this year, and the only ones in positive territory, are:

 

Iceland: +8.7% on the OMX
Germany: +2.9% on the DAX
Spain: +0.8% on the IBEX 35
Ireland: +0.1% on the ISEQ
France: +0.1% on the CAC 40

Spain and Ireland, too, have recovered from far deeper selloffs last fall and earlier this year.
